Olivia Wilde's onetime only boyfriend – dog Paco – may have had to take a backseat since Jason Sudeikis arrived, but that doesn't mean he can't come along for the ride.

And come along he did, joining the new couple for a romantic getaway in Palm Springs, Calif., this weekend.

Due to a powerful windstorm that downed trees and closed roads, the group spent most of their time in their hotel, where a reported power outage required guests to use flashlights and candles to move about. The couple seemed no worse for the wear upon their departure Sunday and were snapped together smiling and looking happy.

Happy, in part, because Paco was there. "I'm just really lucky to have found him," Wilde told PEOPLE last year, "because he's my absolute favorite, favorite dog in the world."
