Without any baby news to fuss over (yet), royal watchers are taken with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's new addition: their cocker spaniel puppy.
Here's what we know about the four-legged royal pooch: he's a few months old, he loves walks along the water with Will and Kate, and he comes from a litter "with a close family connection."
But what do his royal masters call him? The news has yet to filter out, but the British bookmakers Ladbrokes have come up with odds for some potential names.
In the lead at 10/1: Charles or Charlie, after William's father. Other suggestions include Harry, for the prince's brother, followed by Alfie, Gordon and Sherlock.
They're also taking bets on when the dog's photo will be featured in a national newspaper – and whether Will and Kate will be snapped "poop-a-scooping."
