Adopt Me! Honeybee Will Sweeten Your Life
Living at the Old Federal Park in Flowery Branch, Ga., Honeybee and her sister, Butterfly, had always been taught to fear humans. The pair had made a home for themselves in a wooded area when a good Samaritan trapped them and took them to the Georgia SPCA.
Shelter volunteer Carmela Quinlan helped Butterfly get adopted, but Honeybee is still waiting for her forever home. She's currently in a free-roam cat room run by the SCPA at a nearby PETCO, and in just a short time she's really come out of her tortoiseshell.
"She has really come around. We have put her with other cats and she is pretty friendly [with people]," says Quinlan. "I think she could give out a lot of affection."
She's healthy, spayed and micro-chipped; all Honeybee needs now is a patient person to show her what life in a loving home is like. "Feral cats learn to appreciate they were saved," says Quinlan. "She had a very hard life living in the woods with her sibling. She can become a great pet."
