Gisele Bündchen has gone interspecies with her mothering skills!
The supermodel recently traveled to Africa and visited the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, an elephant orphanage in Kenya.
While there, she interacted with several baby elephants, and bonded with one of the mammals during feeding time. Bündchen shared the experience on Facebook and her blog.
"When I entered the David Sheldrick Wildlife Sanctuary it felt like being in a dream," she writes. "We walked into a big field and within minutes we were surrounded by groups of baby elephants."
The trip was also a learning experience for Bündchen, who used the opportunity to encourage her fans to do more to help the endangered species.
"I will never understand how someone could kill or harm an animal as beautiful and special as an elephant. We need to speak up for these animals or they will continue to be in danger."
