Dogs and cats have gone from hunting for their own food to getting their meals prepared for them and set down at their very feet, so it was only a matter of time before they stopped having to climb their own stairs.
Introducing the Stair of the Dog 2022, a device that helps heavy pets move between floors of a house. (It's counterintuitive, really, thinking that a machine that prevents an overweight animal from moving helps its condition.)
The stair lift, designed by a British insurance company, is pegged to a report that states that one in three of the U.K.'s 8.3 million dogs suffers from obesity.
