Many of the 300 pit bulls rescued from a Philippine dog fighting ring will have to be put down based on their injuries, which include ripped ears and tongues, and a lack of resources to rehabilitate them. "The ones we put to sleep are the ones that deserve to be put to sleep based on their medical condition," said Wilford Almora, a veterinarian with the Philippine Animal Welfare Society. –AP
