If you thought a dog and a pig could become friends only when pigs fly – well, you'd be right.
When a piglet went hurtling out of a truck hauling livestock through Kansas, the bruised and injured animal was picked up by Stacie Tonn. She had been driving behind the truck and saw the pig come flying out of the vehicle, according to KWCH 12 Eyewitness News.
Luckily, Tonn and her husband, Shane, run a veterinary hospital and tended to the wounded pig. After two days of unconsciousness, the piglet woke up to find herself surrounded by her new friends: the Tonns, and their dog, Hunter.
"I really didn't think she was going to make it through those first 48 hours," Shane Tonn told Boston's Fox 25 News, but she did.
Now named Mu Shu, the partially blind pig plays with her new best friend, Hunter, who acts as a caretaker. Not only does Hunter help lead Mu Shu around but he also helps guard her from the family's cats.
