Home. Some cats and dogs never have one to call their own. We want to help change that by introducing you to an extraordinary homeless pet every week. Today, we'd like you to meet Joba, a 3-year-old terrier mix who lost his way on a Tennessee road last October.
After spotting him wandering dangerously close to traffic, a good Samaritan took the stray to the McKamey Animal Center in Chattanooga, Tenn. This lonely traveller may have been someone's lost pet; he was very friendly to staffers and gave plenty of kisses.
The charming dog caught the eye of one adopter who brought him home, but, he was returned after needing more attention than his adopter could give.
Upbeat and fun-loving, this 27-lb. pooch is eager to please – speak to him and he'll hang on your every word.
"Joba has lots of energy and loves to play, and at the same time, he is a very well-mannered dog," says animal care coordinator Tricia Sebes. "Whoever adopts him will have a friend for life."
Joba's ideal owner would be just as spontaneous as he is, ready to pop outside for a long walk or play tug-of-war with his favorite squeaky toy.
If you think Joba is the playful pal you've been looking for, contact the McKamey Animal Center at (423) 305-6500, ext. 100.
