Bo Obama knows firsthand the importance of a garden.
It comes as no surprise, then, that Bo would figure prominently in Mrs. Obama’s new book, American Grown: The Story of the White House Kitchen Garden and Gardens Across America, in which she invites readers to learn about the White House crops and healthy eating.
In one adorable photo, Bo stands behind a garden tribute to Thomas Jefferson, which reads: “…the failure of one thing repaired by the success of another; and instead of one harvest, a continued one throughout the year.”
American Grown: The Story of the White House Kitchen Garden and Gardens Across America is on sale now, and proceeds from the book’s sales will benefit the National Park Foundation, among other programs.
