One Direction doesn't bring dogs on tour, but Liam Payne just made sure he had one to come home to.
The British singer bought his family a Labrador retriever puppy, according to older sister Ruth Payne.
"The payne families newest member – Everyone meet Brit," Ruth wrote on Twitter Tuesday. "Brit has kept me busy for the past 4 days – she's a little cutie but can be a naughty puppy when she wants to be."
The family decided to get the puppy after One Direction snagged a Brit award in February. The dog is a mix of yellow and fox red Labrador.
Ten-week-old Brit joins the family's other pets, Captain Jack the fish and two turtles that travel with Liam. While her little brother has Skyped with Brit, Ruth says he can't wait to be on dog duty when he returns from the band's summer tour.
Ruth wrote, "He's already asked when its his turn to look after her."
