A 450-lb. statue depicting a firefighter and his arson dog is making its way to Washington, D.C., where it will reside permanently. Created by Jerry Means, an arson investigator from Colorado, the statue brings "recognition to these dogs who are so important in finding out who or what is responsible for fires," Means said. –The Pantagraph
A new study finds it's not just primates that have brains that closely resembling human brains – dolphins, dogs and elephants do also. A dog has the ability to follow human pointing, done with either the hand or foot, whereas chimps are unable to. –AP
