U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron's family pet, a rescue cat adopted because he was thought to be good at mousing, has taken more to lounging under the British summer sun than he has to catching rodents inside.
On Tuesday, Larry wandered off from the 10 Downing Street stoop and found a place to nap – on Downing Street itself. While the asphalt must have been plenty warm for the brazen kitty, he was stretched out too close to passing cars (cabinet ministers needed to drive away from their morning meeting). He was soon picked up by a police officer and carried back to safety.
