Even Britney Spears thinks about the one that slithered away.

The singer and new X Factor judge got to thinking recently about the whereabouts of a certain 7-ft. albino python she performed with at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2001.

“Sometimes I wonder what this snake is up to these days … Anybody know where it’s at? haha” Spears Tweeted Sunday, reminding fans of her infamous “I’m a Slave 4 U” number at the VMAs over a decade ago.

Within hours the new X Factor judge received an answer to her burning question.

“Snake update: I’ve heard she’s alive and well, and that her name is Banana!” she Tweeted. “This makes me smile :)”

Back when, that same snake elicited another reaction. Spears told Entertainment Weekly at the time that the serpent was so “sticky” and “slimy” that she broke into hives after she touched it the first time.
