Four newborn meerkat cubs went in for a cuddle huddle last week. They were born on August 7 at Vienna's Schoenbrunn Zoo and are still enjoying the comforts of closeness with their mother.
The meerkats will continue to nurse and remain in their burrow as they slowly get introduced to solid foods (insects like the scorpion).
The little members of the mongoose family function in social groups known as clans or gangs and the cubs will be cared for by adult meerkats that act as babysitters.
While she may share the wealth with other members of her clan, in this moment, it looks as though Mom couldn't be more pleased to have her cubs all to herself.
