Fans of Stephen Colbert lined up to catch a glimpse of the satirical TV host on Tuesday, some waiting more than five hours at New York City’s Union Square-area Barnes & Noble bookstore to get a seat at the event.
One fan brought out the claws, and then the fur started flying – literally – because that fan was a cat.
After taking questions from the audience and reading from his new book, America Again: Re-becoming the Greatness We Never Weren’t, Colbert, a known lover of the feline kind, picked up an audience member’s cat and gave it a hug.
The fully-grown, leash-wearing cat appeared to be comfortable in Colbert’s arms. What can we say? The man knows how to handle a kitty.
