Pete Wentz and girlfriend Meagan Camper brought home a 10-week-old Vizsla puppy this month, and Wentz's son Bronx, who turns 4 in November, got to name his new little brother, Wentz's rep tells PEOPLE.
In a nod to the children's book characters, The Berenstain Bears, Bronx named the floppy-eared pooch Bearenstain.
"Meet Bearenstain the new puppy," Camper Tweeted on Saturday. That same day, Camper, along with Bearenstain, Bronx and Wentz, were spotted leaving a pet store together.
Wentz took his family into consideration when choosing the breed; Vizslas are known to be tolerant of young children.
Bronx is already familiar with dogs thanks to mom Ashlee Simpson, who welcomed a French bulldog puppy named Alabama in May.
After a bumpy start, Bronx is now "so in love with her," Simpson told PEOPLE. "It's great."
