Talk about some serious P.D.A. – and we mean prairie dog affection.
A Prague Zoo visitor captured a pair of prairie dogs, thought to be about 3 to 6 years old, getting cozy on camera.
The animals push their trademark caution aside to kiss and cuddle (and, dare we say, remind us that true love totally exists).
"They often communicate by smelling each other, but I've never seen tender behavior like this before," said the photographer, Jan Pelcman, an IT worker from the Czech Republic. "It definitely looked like the two of them were cuddling and having a dance, and I just think they were showing their care for each other."
The sweet "human behavior" only lasted a few seconds, Pelcman said, but the prairie dogs (who are actually rodents) "were definitely a pair."
He added: "[The photos] are also special because every time I look at them, they remind me of my girlfriend."
