Does that facial expression look familiar to you?
An art expert might say this photograph of an otter could pass for a timeless masterpiece: The Scream, Edvard Munch’s four-piece 19th-century masterpiece. (Okay, if the subject of The Scream was way more aww-dorable.)
Showing off a serious set of teeth, the otter seemed to mimic the painting as it floated along an Alaskan harbor.
Why so sassy? The photographer says the animal didn’t seem distressed. “It is a wild otter, but it was not afraid of people who were watching from the dock only a meter or two away,” Doug Perrine, of Hawaii, tells the U.K.’s Daily Mail. “The otter was floating on its back, initially sleeping, and afterwards feeding.”
