They may look like an odd couple, but they certainly don't behave like one.
After a stray kitten wandered into a baboon's enclosure and refused to leave, it found itself taken in by the primate, who has been treating it as if it were one of its own infants.
The duo, residents at an Israeli petting zoo, are rarely apart from one another, andthe baboon has even taken to checking the kitten for fleas.
But their surrogate relationship is not without its flaws: zoo officials told a local news website that sometimes the otherwise maternal monkey will steal the kitten's food. If this continues, the pair will, sadly, have to be separated.
