What will she pick up next?

For Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, it's been one animal encounter after another as she tours Australia and New Zealand with husband Prince Charles for the Queen's Jubilee.

After cuddling a kangaroo and a koala in past weeks, Camilla helped care for an injured kiwi bird on Thursday during a visit to Massey University in Palmerston North, New Zealand.

According to a post on Clarence House's Storify page, the Duchess served as witness while the bird – a New Zealand icon – was given antibiotics at the University's Wildbase center, which treats injured animals.

Earlier in the day, she and Prince Charles made their New Zealand arrival in the town of Feilding, where they visited a farmer's market and Camilla struck a cheery pose with a donkey. The couple also chatted with local farmers about the livestock on display, which included sheep, bulls and horses. A noted animal lover herself, the Duchess has a particular affinity for horses and dogs.
