Tuesday proved a sad day for Miley Cyrus, who announced on Twitter that her dog Lila had passed away.
"For everyone asking ... I have never been so hurt in my life," she wrote Tuesday. "My heart has never been so broken..... Lila my sweet baby girl has passed away."
Although the recently engaged Cyrus, 20, didn't elaborate on her cause of death, the Yorkie was hospitalized in October for unknown causes.
The avid dog lover has four other rescues with fiancé Liam Hemsworth: Ziggy, Floyd, Mary Jane and Happy. Just last month, she supported sister Noah in adopting a mutt puppy named Penny Lane.
"Can't think of one good reason to get out of bed today," Cyrus Tweeted earlier, presumably alluding to Lila, whom she posted a picture of in a doggy sweater less than two weeks ago.
Lila first joined the Cyrus household in 2011, and she's been family ever since.
"I think Lila must be an angel," the singer Tweeted in April.
