It was a sad day for Emma Bunton, whose search for her lost dog has come to a dismal end.

Without delving into details, she took to Twitter to thank those who reached out when she announced earlier this week that her and fiancé Jade Jones' chocolate Labrador Phoebe went missing on a daily walk.

"To all the amazing people who supported us at this horrible time, our precious Phoebe has been found and it's terrible news," the Spice Girl, 37, Tweeted Wednesday. "We are devastated."

"Thank you everyone for your support," Jones, 33, added. "Love you Phoebe always."

The couple, who are parents to sons Beau and Tate, also thanked Dog Lost, a database for lost and found dogs in the U.K., who assisted the family.

Phoebe, whom she described as gentle and gorgeous, was microchipped at the time of her disappearance.
