Adopt Me! Snowflake Wants You All to Herself
02/27/2013 AT 05:00 PM EST
After Snowflake stayed at a Virginia city pound for at least two months, the Martinsville-Henry County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals took the pup in. When she tested positive for heartworms, the community came together to raise funds for the 2-year-old's treatment.
With a month to go until her second round of treatment, this house-trained and on-the-mend pooch needs a forever home. "Snowflake is incredibly lovable and is one of the gentlest dogs we have ever met," Chase Inman, the Martinsville-Henry County SPCA director of marketing and development, tells PEOPLE. "She is polite and humble, and she loves everyone she meets."
When it comes to spending time with those she loves, Snowflake prefers one-on-one T.L.C. "This little terrier prefers to have her human all to herself," Inman says, "so we would prefer Snowflake to be an only pet."
