Adopt Me! Bruno Wants Someone to Keep Up With
Home. Some pets never have one to call their own. We'd like to help change that by introducing you to an extraordinary adoptable pet every week. Meet Bruno, an energetic Blue Heeler mix looking for a place to run free.

Found as a stray by the Fort Worth Animal Care & Control of Texas, Bruno was originally adopted in Nov. 2012. But sadly, his family chose to return him to the shelter three months later.

Since then, the people-friendly pooch has been aching to get back out, and to a place where he can roam freely.

"He has lots of energy to burn, and he would love having a backyard to run around," Sherri Eason, manager of the PetSmart Charities' everyday adoption center in Fort Worth, tells PEOPLE. "An active family would be the perfect match for Bruno."

While Eason adds that the 2-year-old could benefit from some additional training, particularly socializing with other pets, she believes he'd make a great addition to any family.

"Bruno has the most incredible personality," says Eason. "He is happy, loves people and his tail is always going a mile a minute!"
