Pets in danger: have no fear, Miranda Lambert is here!
The country singer – and avid animal lover – rescued an adorable pooch from the side of the highway in Tishomingo, Okla., on Tuesday. Now she's helping him find a home.
"He was in the middle of the hwy with his food bowl and bed," she Tweeted. "If it wasn't an accident someone is really sick."
The proud pet parent of an ever-expanding brood of dogs herself, Lambert, 29, is now caring for the stray until he finds a home. But until then, she's decided to give him a name.
"I'm calling him 'Pistol Andy' in honor of the [Pistol Annies] record [Annie Up] being announced today!" she added. Here's hoping the pup, nicknamed 'lil Andy,' finds a forever home soon.
