His little paws! Those big, hold-me-closer eyes! That itty-bitty nose! We just want to pick Lentil the French bulldog up and let him go, um, never.
But for Lentil, there's a less warm and fuzzy reality: The puppy was born Feb. 2 with a severe cleft palate. Now the Internet sensation is on the mend with the help of the French Bulldog Rescue Network.
"Although, at times, it seems as if all odds are against him, this kid is a fighter!" Lentil's Facebook page reads.
His foster mom currently feeds him through a tube every three hours, which has led to a consistent weight gain of about 1 oz. a day.
