Adopt Me! Sassy the Rabbit Is Cuter than the Easter Bunny
03/29/2013 AT 03:00 PM EDT
When the Gainesville Rabbit Rescue took Sassy in, her fur was matted and covered in waste. The Florida-based rescue cleaned up this ball of fluff, along with her parents and siblings, so the whole bunny brood would be ready for adoption. (Rescue staff also took the neglected rabbits to a veterinarian and had them all spayed/neutered.)
One by one, each of the rabbits was adopted. Now, "Little Sassy is the last of her family and is eager to find her forever home," Faith Bolton, the rescue's assistant director, tells PEOPLE.
Don't be tricked by her size though. "This beautiful girl lives up to her name by having a big personality," Bolton says, "and would be a fun addition to your home."
For those looking for somebunny to love this Easter, Bolton adds, "Having a bunny in your home is a real joy, but they are also a 10-year commitment ... If you have already been researching rabbit care and are interested in bringing a hopping, fluffy treasure in your family, please choose to adopt from a local rescue."
