June is Adopt-A-Shelter-Cat month
and it's our mission to help felines everywhere find a place to call home. Today, we'd like you to meet Frio and Stardust, siblings who look out for each other.
The adorable cats were given up by their owner after six years. She travelled too much and felt guilty that the cats didn't have consistent human companionship. The MEOW Cat Rescue
of Kirkland, Wash., took them in and is trying to find the pair a home together.
Frio is deaf, and because of this he's pretty mellow and very in tune to changes in light and vibrations. Stardust is his sweet protector; she's playful, curious and cuddly to the extreme. Described by the rescue as a "happy, bonded pair," they are loving, friendly (with dogs, cats and children), and enjoy grooming each other.
"They're just great cats," says volunteer Bonne VeVea. "Stardust is a shoulder kitty. She's never happier than when she's draped around someone's neck." For more information on how to adopt them, visit Petfinder.com
to meet last week's adoptable pet, Jules.
Adopting a pet is an amazing experience – and a big decision! Before bringing a pet into your home it's important to consider your family circumstances and do your research on breeds.
