A black bear was just looking to quench his thirst at a Colorado watering hole
You've heard the line a million times, but this time, it's no joke.
A black bear walked into a bar in Estes Park, Colo., earlier in the week, and surprisingly, "bear-ly" managed to catch the patrons' attention.
Resident Daniel Lyell spotted the animal wandering through Lonigans Bar, reports CBS Denver
, and tried to alert customers to its presence, but to no avail.
"I tried to holler, 'Bear!' so people could hear me," he said. "They were oblivious."
Security footage shows the bear wandering up and down the pub's aisles – perhaps looking for the best seat? – before eventually leaving just moments later.
"My first reaction is to have a heart attack," said the bartender on duty that night when alerted to the bear's arrival, "and my second reaction is to give him whatever he wants."
Interestingly, this is not the first black bear sighting for an Estes Park establishment. Less than one year ago, a bear raided a local chocolate store
to satisfy a late-night craving.
