She came for a show, but left with a puppy!
While performing in West Palm Beach, Fla.,
with Dierks Bentley, Miranda Lambert
made a pit stop at the Big Dog Ranch Rescue
in nearby Wellington and failed to leave empty handed. Bentley posted a photo
of the singer's adorable new pup on WhoSay Saturday, writing, "Look who adopted another dog! Hint: he is headed to Oklahoma..."
According to local news station WPTV
, the singer, 29, visited the rescue after a young fan told her about their work in the area. She has named the pup Bellamy, in honor of the pop/country duo, The Bellamy Brothers.
Lambert's new addition joins the ever-expanding brood of dogs and fosters she cares for with husband Blake Shelton
. On Saturday, she Tweeted a photo of herself
standing on the steps of the rescue with its staff and her new pet.
"I visited Big Dog Ranch Rescue today in West Palm Beach," she wrote. "Amazing place & great people helping so many dogs in need!"
