It was a weekend to remember for Andy Cohen – the Watch What Happens Live host adopted his first dog!

“I’ve been thinking about a dog for a while,” Cohen tells Bravo’s The Dish of the beagle/foxhound mix he adopted from New Jersey’s See Spot Rescued on Friday. “I just felt like I wanted to open my life up to a dog and I thought rescuing a dog was the right way to go.”

The Bravo personality, 45, has named the rescue pup Wacha, in honor of Michael Wacha, the pitcher of his favorite baseball team, the St. Louis Cardinals. And so far, potty training has been a home run.

“He’s really behaved,” Cohen says. “The first night, he brought me his leash and was telling me, ‘I have to pee!’ I was like, ‘Wow, this dog is incredible!’”
