They're Cub A and Cub B no more!
Meet Mei Lun and Mei Huan, twin male giant pandas born at Zoo Atlanta in July, who, as part of Chinese tradition, finally received their official names on Wednesday, their 100th day of life. The names – pronounced May Loon and May Hwaan
– were chosen after an online vote, and couldn't be more fitting. They translate to: "indescribably beautiful and magnificent."
To celebrate their big day, the furry pair camped out in front of cameras. In footage provided by the zoo, they are seen sleeping, sleeping, and sleeping some more until mom, Lun Lun, appears to give them a much needed sniff.
With all attention turned to the babies snuggling on a plush blanket, Mom enjoyed some much-deserved panda pampering of her own.
"She was quite happy to have some kid-free mommy time eating bamboo at her leisure. She even caught in some beauty rest," reads a message on the zoo's website
. Sounds like a good day all around!
