Two of three deer stranded on Albert Lea Lake in Minnesota
When James Kenison and his father Doug learned through Facebook
that three deer were stranded on Minnesota's Albert Lea Lake, they knew they had to do something.
The owners of a hovercraft tour and training company
, the pair headed for the lake on Sunday to save the animals and filmed a sweet video of the rescue.
According to The Saratogian
, when the Kenisons arrived at the scene, they found the deer more than a quarter mile from shore. The lake was frozen solid and was so slippery the animals couldn't get their footing on the ice.
The video shows father and son tying ropes around the deer and safely pulling the frightened trio to land. "It was our honor and privilege to help these wonderful animals," reads a message at the end of the clip.
