Woman Rescues Dog from Freezing Waters in New York

While out dog-walking five pooches on Sunday, an N.Y.C. woman jumped into freezing waters to rescue one of the pooches who had gotten away from her, reports the New York Post.

The woman was walking in Central Park when one of the dogs under her care dove into the Harlem Meer, a small lake. Despite low temperatures and warning signs around the body of water, the woman immediately waded in after her dog, said cops.

A life preserver was later used to pull the woman and her tiny pup out of the water.
