Home. Some pets never have one to call their own. We'd like to help change that by introducing you to an extraordinary adoptable pet every week. Today, meet Max, a handsome husky who charms everyone that he meets.

This stunningly beautiful pup, who is 3 to 4-years-old, arrived at the Eleventh Hour Rescue in Rockaway, N.J., two weeks ago from an over-crowded Ohio shelter. While his full back story is unknown, Max's coat is in such pristine condition it's believed he was never a stray.

The well-behaved pooch loves people, hugs and getting lots of exercise. The perfect owner for him would be an active person with a fenced-in yard or farm, and experience with huskies would be a plus. Fans of the breed will know that they are escape artists, so it's important that Max have secure boundaries to roam around in. And get ready for lots of howls! Since that's how these sled-pulling dogs tell you what's on their mind.

While Max isn't friendly with cats, he likes other dogs and has found a BFF in a small pup named Mocca, who is high-energy just like him.

Meet last week's adoptable pets, Loxi and Nika.

Adopting a pet is an amazing experience – and a big decision! Before bringing a pet into your home it's important to consider your family circumstances and do your research on breeds.
