Home. Some pets never have one to call their own. We’d like to help change that by introducing you to an extraordinary adoptable pet every week. Today, meet Mallory, a 3-year-old Lab mix who has been with the Eleventh Hour Rescue of Rockaway, New Jersey, for more than one year.
Even though it’s only temporary, Mallory is making the most of her loving foster home before she finds that place to spend forever. “She has playful bursts of energy and likes to play tug of war and chase after balls,” says foster mom Tammi Green-Strelkoff. “When she’s finished playing, she’ll curl up next to you or find a cozy spot next to you and just hang out for some quiet time.”
While she can be a bit shy at first, once she trusts you she lets her guard down. “She’s been very well-behaved with everyone she meets,” says Green-Strelkoff. “She will come up to you and snuggle, then turn over onto her back so you can scratch her belly.”
This sweet girl, who weighs 45 lbs., adores long walks, lounging in the sun and exploring the great outdoors – she’d make a great canine sidekick for an active person. If you’re interested in her, contact the Eleventh Hour Rescue at 973-664-0865.
