By now, midway through October, you've probably tasted your first pumpkin spice latte of the season (although that's more than we can say for this unhappy lion). The drink is as synonymous with the start of fall as sweaters, leaves and other things we learned from rom-coms.

Behold: the pugskin spice latte. Twitter user @singalittleflat crafted the ultimate (and caffeinated!) Halloween costume for her furry buddy, who dons the signature Starbucks lid as a cap and a cardboard recreation of its cup holder around its waist.

Who says couture can't be fashionable and practical?
A rescue kitten named Wasabi-chan is proving that statement true after photos of the itty-bitty furball went viral showing her dressed as a mushroom and in other adorable crocheted ensembles.
But the stylish kitty's purr-recious sartorial selection stemmed from necessity more than vanity. Wasabi-chan was attacked by a crow on June 2, reports Mashable, and suffered a fractured upper jaw and split tongue. She required a catheter to feed, but kept wiggling the tube out of her mouth. Thus, her owner, who goes by the Twitter handle @jessiepon, crafted a series of costumes to keep Wasabi-chan still during feedings.

The 9-year-old star of Beasts of the Southern Wild hit the red carpet at Monday's Oscar nominees luncheon in Beverly Hills with another one of her pet purses on hand.
"That's my signature," she told Ellen DeGeneres during a January visit to her talk show, where Wallis admitted owning close to 20 of the doggy accessory, designed by Poochie & Co.

Boardwalk Empire star Jack Huston and his dog joined Gap for its new holiday campaign, which also features Michael J. Fox and Parks & Recreation's Aubrey Plaza.
"I said, 'Of course,'" says Huston in a Gap promotional video, also featuring stars like Michael J. Fox and Aubrey Plaza, who appear in the campaign. "It's nice, it means I'll have a lovely photograph of me and my dog together, which will last a lifetime."
Blake Lively is getting a little out of control.
It's not enough that the actress has a toy poodle named Penny who has stayed tiny forever.
Nope, not good enough. Lively has to bring her tiny, tiny shadow (along with new husband Ryan Reynolds's dog, Baxter) to work on the Gossip Girl set in Queens, New York. She did this on Thursday, with Penny wearing dog pajamas.
Not just any old puppy pajamas, either – these PJs were covered in fluffy white sheep.

"Certain things just make me smile," Isaac Mizrahi told PEOPLE at the launch of Fabulous, his first fragrance for women. The designer brought that sense of joy to the perfume's ad campaign. "I see a poodle, it just makes me smile."
For the campaign, two black standard poodles joined a model (in pink!) outside New York City's Guggenheim Museum. In one scene, a show-trimmed pooch appears to be asking for a spritz of the scent, which features mandarin, nectarine, jasmine and cedar.

After a year-long hiatus from the kitty business, fashion house United Bamboo is expanding, offering more feline-glorifying goods in addition to the classic calendar that first earned a following in 2009 with 12 snapshots of costume-clad cats (know as nameneko, a trend from United Bamboo designer Miho Aoki's native Japan).
Also up for grabs this year: magnets, posters, framed prints and an LED lightbox, all of which picture images of photogenic felines donning sized-down (but just as stylish) runway attire, designed by United Bamboo, Le Bac and Bamboo By. (All of the swag falls under a new spin-off brand, Catclub by United Bamboo.)
