Best Friend's Home, a German company, was inspired by its Australian shepherd, Maya, to create its line of dog houses in April 2009. "We were on the hunt for a beautiful designer home for our dog, but were really disappointed about the selection we found," says founder Doria Keppler. Their first creation was called Cubix and done in the Bauhaus style. Priced at $2,400.
