Five days after the storm, dog-lover Melanie Kern-Favilla and her family spotted the Basenji wandering in various yards around Patchogue, N.Y. It took a while to capture him, but once they did, Kern-Favilla connected with the dog's owner on Facebook just 24 hours later. The dog, who had jumped a fence during the storm, was reunited with Robert Bungert (right) on Nov. 3.
