The arrivals line at the 67th annual Golden Globes Awards proved uncharacteristically soggy on Sunday – but the stars still beamed as they walked the red carpet.
A downpour greeted nominees, presenters and guests as they poured from their limousines and into the Beverly Hilton Hotel. As Tina Fey described the scene, “It’s not rain, it’s just God crying for NBC.”
Despite the weather, the stars made time for interview and fans. While George Clooney’s constant companion Elisabetta Canalis remained shielded from the inclement weather, the actor braved the elements and the crowds, greeting people face-to-face in the grandstands and signing autographs.
Shrugging off the precipitation, a sunny Julia Roberts, who was accompanied by her agent and Tom Hanks, with wife Rita Wilson, used the TV cameras to wish First Lady Michelle Obama a happy birthday.
