“When new babies arrive we put several together for company and they form life-long bonds with their crib-mates,” says Judy Avey-Arroyo, who runs the Aviarios Sloth Sanctuary. The Costa Rican center has rescued 258 two-toed sloths and 111 of the three-toed variety.
