Get the Look: Carrie Underwood's 'Adopt' Tee

We already know Carrie Underwood is a big proponent of pet adoption, and now the sultry singer is showing her support in a new way — through T-shirts! We recently spotted Carrie out grabbing coffee in Obey Clothing's 'Adopt' shirt ($35), featuring a picture of a sweet pooch accompanied by that simple message.

The entire 'Adopt' line, which includes a few other T-shirts ($23-$29), a tote ($20), collar and leash ($24 each), might look a little familiar. Our pals at Adopt-a-Pet.com teamed up with street artist Shepard Fairey — the man behind those iconic Obama 'Hope' posters — to create the look.

Etsy Fave! Animal Jewelry that Starts with a Doodle

Let's be honest, doodling on a notebook during the snoozefest that was math class was a heck of a lot more interesting than our jobs now. And all those teachers who said that doodling was a waste time should bite their tongues -- at least those of jewelry designer Mark Poulin.

Poulin has been designing adorable silver and enamel animal jewelry for almost 10 years and it all started with a pencil and paper.

Did you know that First Lady Martha Washington had a parrot? Or that Abraham Lincoln's son had two goats? Chuck Zoeller does. And he knows all about Checkers, Buddy, Bo and other famous presidential pups, information that he offers up in his new book, First Pet (AP, $15).

Zoeller, director of creative services at the Associated Press, culled through photo and story archives to learn about America's most beloved animals. "We're in the enviable position of having covered the White House since, well, forever," he tells PEOPLEPets.com. "So we had a real wealth of material."

The photo-filled book contains rarely seen images, like that of Warren G. Harding greeting his Airedale terrier Laddie Boy, or Franklin D. Roosevelt's Scottie Fala hanging out with her puppies.

REVIEW: Scentsy Flameless Candles Make Sense for Curious Pets

REVIEW: Scentsy Flameless Candles Make Sense for Curious Pets

My cat is sporting singed eyebrows that could only have come from one place in my home: The beautifully scented candle that sits on my coffee table. Believe me, I'm careful not to let this mischievous little guy near fire — I only light the candle when I'm around to monitor him. But somehow or another his eyebrows went up in smoke when I wasn't looking and they haven't grown back yet.

So I was happy to hear about a new way to make my apartment smell nice that won't put my curious feline in danger: Scentsy flameless candles. They are perfect for owners whose pets are like a moth to a flame.

Treats to Try: 25% Off Orders from the Hungry Hound

Going to the Hungry Hound dog bakery in Somerville, N.J., is kind of like going to Cheers: Everybody knows your name … if you're a dog, that is.

Owned by Penny Milligan, who started the business seven years ago, the bakery has become somewhat of a community gathering place. "People bring their dogs here all the time," Milligan tells PEOPLEPets.com. "They like to talk about their pets, show us the tricks they can do and just relax." Though she confesses she doesn't know every customer's name — it's a lot of faces to remember! — she and rescue pup Talulah recognize all their four-legged friends.

Miranda Lambert has two ACM Awards, two CMT Award nominations and a sparkling engagement ring — but it seems her favorite piece of bling these days is the pawprint pendant she recently designed with Pennroyal Silver.

A delicate, sterling silver piece featuring the logo of her charity, MuttNation Foundation, the pendant hangs on a 16-in. chain and has the sassy singer's signature imprinted on the back. Proceeds from online sales of the $75 piece — which is only available through June 21 — will benefit MuttNation.

Does your pup have something against walking? Is he more of the carrying kind? Sharon Osbourne's dog is apparently all of the above, so we weren't surprised when we recently spotted the America's Got Talent judge toting her pooch in a cute canvas dog sling from Rebecca Bonbon ($22).

Founded by Yuko Shimizu, the creator of Hello Kitty, Rebecca Bonbon is a flirty and fun accessories line with a separate pet collection that includes raincoats, hoodies, dresses, beds and more. Officially launching in July, the line isn't available to the general public yet — celebrities only! — so, mark your calendar and get your paws on that sling.
