Wine Crate Pet Bowls Take Fido to the Vineyard Without Leaving Home
It's just the thing pet-loving oenophiles have been waiting for: Accessories that look like they were shipped straight from the vineyard.
Whiner & Diner's eco-friendly elevated feeders, beds and toy boxes are all made from reconstructed wine crates. The wooden pieces come from wine regions like California, Australia, Chile and France, and are hand-crafted and painted to fit the look that you want for your pet and your home.
The Perfect Cabin for Your Feline Hunter
A special delivery isn't just special for you, it's special for your kitty who gets to hop into the discarded box. But don't they deserve something a bit more civilized?
Loyal Luxe, a Quebec-based pet product company, has created the Canadian Cabin, a mini-hunting chalet made out of cardboard that pets (especially cats) can use to play, scratch, sleep and hide.
"The idea for a house in cardboard came from the fact that cats are just crazy about cardboard boxes," company co-founder Maud Beauchamp tells PEOPLEPets.com. "As soon as you leave a cardboard box unattended in your apartment, you find your cat inside!"
Namaste, Doggie! Pet Zen Gear Puts Pups at Peace
If you're a yoga buff, you spend a lot of quality time meditating on that 24-in.-by-72-in. rectangle of space – but chew on this: For each yoga mat that is made, there are tons of scraps that are discarded. PetZen's EnviRuff gear is doing something innovative with those leftover materials, using them for a line of bowls, beds and accessories.
Made for dogs and families on the go, the EnviRuff collection consists of a travel bedroll, bowl and 'ChowPal' kit. The bedroll ($19.99-$24.99, depending on size) offers up a soft fleece lining on one side, and the yoga mat material on the other, with a soft pad providing cozy cushioning in between. The bed rolls up — just like a yoga mat — so you can carry it easily between destinations, and it wipes clean, too.
REVIEW: TropiClean Dental Care Gives Minty Fresh Breath to Pets
When friends of mine meet my 10-year-old Maltese Ethel for the first time, they tend to do the nice thing and squeal about how cute she is. They pick her up, get close to her face, and hesitantly ask what she had to eat that day.
"Did she just have some fish...?"
Rank. Stank. That's my old lady's mouth for you. And despite my best efforts to work on her dental care — brushing her teeth multiple times a week, getting a different food bowl to help slow down her eating — she still manages to knock me out once in a while with her hot, smelly breath.
Help the Planet — with a Few Green Poop Bags
Late-breaking news in honor of Earth Day 2010: It's important to scoop your dog's poop! Un-scooped waste can run directly into waterways — without being treated.
Okay, so maybe you already knew that, and you're already a diligent scooper. There's an even better thing you can do for the environment while scooping poop, and that's using a 100 percent bio-degradable poop bag, from none other than PoopBags.com.

Etsy Fave! Rita Russell's Eco-Friendly Toys Are the Purrfect Kitty Distraction
Let's face it, indoor cats get bored, so it's up to us, their owners, to give them something to get excited about. That's why we were pleasantly surprised when we came across Rita Russell's adorable eco-friendly catnip toys on Etsy. The cute designs — in shapes like dill pickles, tighty whities, and jellybeans — excite kitties, and us!
How Russell began making these toys for her cat Jelly Bean turned out to be equally fun: She was belly dancing in her home.
Natura Pet Bed Is a Cozy Creature Comfort
It's big, and it's fuzzy! Natura's Natural Pet Bed — a new addition from the human-focused sleep line — is a jumbo-sized cushion that sends dogs straight to dreamland, thanks to its combination of support and softness. A granulated latex core supports pets' spines as they toss and turn throughout the night. For older pups, it's a great way to soothe the discomfort that comes with sore joints and dysplasia.
