As you cross off friends and family on your holiday shopping list, don't forget your furry pals. Luckily, lots of pet stores have caught the cyber sale craze and are offering some great discounts for us pet Santas.

Dogs fare better than cats at Christmas: 56% of dog parents buy their dogs presents. Most cats get stiffed: only 42% of cat parents buy gifts. The average pet Christmas present costs $17, but between Halloween and Christmas we spend $3 billion on pet treats and gifts, says the American Pet Products Manufacturers.

Doctors Fosters and Smith has a 15% off sale on select dog gear, until December 15.

Petco offers free shipping on orders $50 or more, plus daily specials, ending December 26.

Petsmart gives you $10 off if you buy $40 or more.

Wild Birds Unlimited has a 25% off sale on feeders made from (nearly indestructible) recycled plastic lumber.

For sporting dogs, Cabela’s has free shipping on orders over $100 and a few deals.
